Fasara® patterns create a serene, etched-glass appearance reminiscent of the rice paper partitions used in Japanese culture for centuries, allowing designers to divide interior spaces at a fraction of the cost of etched glass. Typical applications include:

Energy cost savings. Modern commercial buildings typically employ large expanses of glass for daylighting, which saves on lighting costs and has been shown to improve productivity. However, all that glass can place a substantial extra workload on air conditioning systems. 3M Window Films with solar control properties reject up to 97 percent of solar heat gain through windows, depending upon the product selected.

This can amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual air conditioning cost savings for a Class A office tower. For example, Los Angeles’ AON Center realized more than $200,000 in annual energy cost savings after application of 3M Window Films to 168,000 square feet of window surface area. Bomb blasts. Terrorism has become an unpleasant fact of life. Graffiti. We also offer special films that go on the outside of your windows that protect the glass from graffiti. So when a vandal attempts to scratch or paint your glass, they will be damaging the film instead. Then you simply replace the film for a fraction of what you would spend on a new window.
